Grown-up Book Fair, Black History Month

  • Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre 647 E Market St Akron United States (map)

Everyday Akron is partnering with Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre to bring you MORE old-school Book Fair bliss, while highlighting Black-owned businesses in Akron.

The SECOND Grown-up Book Fair will bring all of your favorite book-ish nostalgia to you with a fresh look. Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre will have an exciting variety of novels, cookbooks, humor, self-development books, and more to add to your TBR.

If you missed our first Grown-up Book Fair, we hope you'll join us this time around. If you attended our first Grown-up Book Fair, we're excited to offer a new features to make the day even more memorable:

  • New Location! Find us at 647 E Market St inside the Compass Cafe—the home of our brick-and-mortar store.

  • Longer Hours! The Grown-up Book Fair is open for business from 11AM to 4PM.

  • Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hour! We're making the first hour of shopping Sensory Friendly. Meaning lower lighting, quieter music, and fewer people. In order to limit the crowd, we ask that you only register for this shopping hour if you or you or anyone in your party requires a Sensory Friendly environment. We promise we will have plenty of books and merch for all shoppers, all day long!

Plus, find Black-owned businesses including Nuni Products, Bizzy Beads, Black Culture Candles, The Juice Hive, and more!

WHEN: Saturday, February 24, 11AM-4PM (11-12 Sensory Friendly shopping)
