The Writing Centre at Elizabeth’s

We are the Writing Centre at Elizabeth’s, a place where writers and readers can gather and learn.

About

The Writing Centre at Elizabeth’s Bookshop is a place where writers and readers can gather and learn. Through workshops, readings, and events, the Writing Centre at Elizabeth’s engages the greater Akron community’s love and curiosity for writing.

Our programming exclusively draws from the abundance of work, narratives, and voices of marginalized writers, teachers, and thinkers.

We recognize the cultural and historical forces that have strategically and systemically diminished the resources and privileges of many individuals, and we work to dismantle these divides through the power of writing.
