New location. Same cozy vibe.
Queer Reader Meetups meet the first Saturday of every month from 12 to 2 p.m. at The Northside Marketplace, 21 Furnace Street. This gathering is for readers who identify as LGBTQIA+, and is designed to offer a comfortable, affirming space within the queer community.
From 12 to 1 p.m., bring a book and read. No discussion. No pressure. Just protected time to settle in with a book in a space where you can relax and be yourself. Making space to read is an act of self care, and this hour is yours.
From 1 to 2 p.m., stay and socialize. Chat with other queer readers, swap recommendations, or listen in. This is a welcoming space to connect without feeling judged or out of place. It’s just community, ease, and shared joy around books.
Many readers arrive on their own. That is expected, and you will not be the only one.
If you are new to the group, we are so glad you found us. Returning friends, please note our new location.
We meet in the private room just past the checkout. Feel free to grab a snack or drink from NOMZ and come on in.
For readers looking for a mixed audience gathering, we also host an All Reader Meetup on the last Saturday of each month.
